Development of Information Design (part 2/3)

To present the opinion ratings for each show I decided to display the data in a bar chart to allow the reader to easily compare my rating with the movie & TV database website IMDB
I started the chart in two shades of orange but later changed it to two shades of purple as there was an area of the pie chart above that was already in orange.

I then started to put together the third pie chart shape to display 4 of the rows of data. I differentiated each category with different shades of colour groups.

I then added the captions and values to the pie chart.

Next I carefully added my lines, I think that with each pie chart I produce the lines get more neat so if I get time I would like to reorganise the first pie chart's lines.

Development of Information Design (part 3/3)

Then I moved on to the third sector of my chart. The bar chart shows the highest number of viewers each TV show has ever got for one episode - this will allow the reader to compare the results. I couldn't find out the viewers for House of Cards as it is a Netflix show which means that people will be watching it on demand so the figure wouldn't be able to be compared to the others.

I then made up the fourth pie chart and added the captions and values.

This shows how I would organise my lines as they pass through the boxes and divert off to reach the right destination.

Here is the fourth pie chart finished. This is definitely the most neat pie chart as I thought about how the lines could cross over in the most tidy and organised way - whereas with the first one I didn't know how to arrange them as well.

Full Chart so far...

I am really pleased with the amount of information I have displayed and I think that it is easy to follow and the different colours make it visually appealing - however, as I have some time before the deadline I'm going to reorganise the first two pie charts so that they match with the bottom two and are also neater.

Final Information Design Chart

Here is the final Information Design chart after I reorganised the first two pie charts' lines. I think that the whole chart now feels more cohesive and neat so I am happy with the results. The bar chart sections are a little boring, design wise, so I would have liked to have thought about those sections further.
